Our medical staff is made up of obstetricians, gynecologists, perinatologists, and gynecologic oncologists with vast experience who are prepared to prevent and treat all gynecologic conditions. Our obstetricians and perinatologists are prepared to accompany patients during delivery and during high risk pregnancies. More babies are born annually at Ashford Hospital than in any other hospital in Puerto Rico. It is the first hospital on the island to be certified as “Hospital Amigo del Niño” (Children’s Friend Hospital).

Neonatal intensive care unit
Caring after a premature newborn requires rigorous protocols and personalized attention to ensure the healthy development of every baby.
Ashford Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit was created specifically to care for premature babies’ needs. We provide highly personalized services with the help of our neonatologists who are there for you 24/7. We are the only hospital in the metropolitan area that has a level 3 NICU.

Colorective surgery

Colorectal medicine is used to diagnose and treat conditions in the colon, rectum, and anus. Our clinic is the only colorectal center on the island with surgeons that are specifically trained to perform transanal endoscopic microsurgery. Our team also relies on specialists in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries and is the only team in Puerto Rico that treats fecal incontinence.

At our otorhinolaryngology clinic, we evaluate and manage the chronic and surgical conditions of patients with ear, nose, and throat illnesses as well as any other illness related to the head and neck structures.
